Hi fellow science geeks!
I’m Caroline. I’m studying for a BSc in Biomedical Science at Surrey University, and have just finished a work placement year in clinical research.
I applied for the X-Change as I’m fascinated by science and passionate about public engagement in the field, and am excited to channel that into creating the 5 shows and podcasts. My main interests are in pharmacology and neuroscience, and I plan to do a Masters in Science Communication.
I’m most looking forward to seeing Simon Watt, presenter of ‘Inside Nature’s Giants’, who’ll be taking us behind the scenes of this fantastic show with his talk ‘Dissections Uncut’. I’m also keen to discover geophysicist Ciaran Beggan’s theories on what will happen to our world on the next magnetic pole reversal.
I’m very excited about working with the other fabulous volunteers at the X-Change to put together 5 great shows - in particular the Demo Spectacular on the Saturday - before letting my hair down at the apocalyptic End of the World party!
That’s not of course forgetting those stunning pink t-shirts we get to wear – you’ll see us a mile off!
